We farm 375 acres of organic agricultural land and grow olives, barley, alfalfa and hay. Our fields now yield better crops than neighbouring farms where conventional methods are employed. Our farm includes arable fields, meadows, lakes and ponds, vegetable gardens and an apiary. We make bread, honey, jams, wine (from grapes grown in the Brunello region around Montalcino) and cold pressed olive oil. We also make soaps, toiletries and other herbal
products using the natural resources of the estate. We raise
free‐range poultry and happy pigs and our perky horses are available to
keen equestrians for cross‐country rides.
You are welcome to participate in our eco‐village life: feed the pigs with Davide; collect fresh free range eggs with Benjamin; pick olives at harvest time; learn about our bees from Beatrice and Erwin; make soaps and other herbal products with Mara. |
